Found a great loan!

I used LendingTree for a Personal Loan and it was fantastic! So easy to compare offers and I found a much better rate than I thought I'd get. I'll definitely use them again for future financial needs and tell my friends!

Mortgage comparison experience

I went to LendingTree to look for a mortgage. The initial form was straightforward, asking for income, credit score range, and property details. Within minutes, I had several offers to review on their dashboard. I appreciated that they showed the estimated monthly payment and interest rate upfront. I ended up connecting with two lenders and one gave me a pre-approval in less than 24 hours. The main thing was the number of emails and calls started to pick up after I submitted my info. I wish there was a way to filter communication more, but overall, it streamlined the process of finding a competitive rate.

Saved on student loan refinance

I was really focused on finding the best deal to refinance my student loans and LendingTree helped a lot. I compared several lenders and picked one that significantly lowered my interest rate, saving me hundreds over the life of the loan. It felt like a smart financial move without having to visit multiple bank sites. The free credit score check they offered was a nice bonus too, helped me see where I stood.

Good options, some calls

I used LendingTree to compare Homeowners Insurance quotes last month. The platform showed several options quickly, which was helpful. I found a policy that saved me about $150 a year. My only minor issue was getting a few more calls from lenders than I expected, even after I'd selected a quote.

Reliable for credit cards

This isn't my first time using LendingTree. I used them a few years back for a car loan and this time it was for a Credit Card with a balance transfer offer. The process was just as smooth as I remember. They presented clear options, and I picked a card that worked for me. Consistency is key, and they deliver.

Hey, wondering if using LendingTree for a mortgage pre-approval will ding my credit score? Don't want a bunch of hard inquiries.

S Sean J. 1 month ago
Nah, it's usually just a soft pull to check rates. So it won't hurt your score. Hard pulls only happen when you actually apply with a specific lender.

Yeah, what they said. I used it for a personal loan and checked a few options, only saw a soft inquiry on my report. You're good.

Is LendingTree actually free to use? Like, what's the catch? Are they gonna charge me later or something?

K Kevin Garcia 1 month ago
It's free for us, the users. They make their money from the lenders who pay to be on the platform when people get loans through them. No catch for you.

Totally free for you. I was sus too, but nope. They just connect you with lenders and those lenders pay LendingTree if you go with them.

I'm looking for a student loan refinance bonus. Does LendingTree ever have those, or is it mostly just for new loans?

M Michelle Thomas 1 month ago
Definitely saw some student loan refinance bonus offers on there earlier this year. They pop up, just keep an eye out for them, especially around peak times like end of quarter.

N Nathan Wright 1 month ago
Yeah, they do. I remember seeing a few different lenders offering bonuses for refinancing through their platform. Just gotta browse through the student loan refinance section.

how does lendingtree stack up against something like Credit Karma for just checking out different loan options? is one better than the other for personal loans?

M Mark Hernandez 5 days ago
I've used both. Credit Karma is good for general credit monitoring and basic ideas, but LendingTree usually pulls up more actual loan offers from a wider range of lenders to compare directly.

For personal loans, I'd lean towards LendingTree. They're more focused on direct comparisons of actual offers, whereas CK is more about your credit health and general suggestions, afaik.

Anyone know if LendingTree actually has those like, cash back offers for credit cards? Or is it just all about getting a lower APR?

M Matt B. 2 weeks ago
They totally do! I got a pretty sweet sign-up bonus on a card I found through them last year. Like, a couple hundred bucks after spending X amount.

Yep, it's not just APR. Look for the sign-up bonuses, some of them are decent. I think they call them 'exclusive lender offers' or something like that.
